We were a party of four on Thanksgiving. We got a really nice circular table in the rear of the virtually all candle lit beautiful restaurant. Our choice was the standard turkey with multi sides for the table included Brussels sprouts, dressing, yams and something with mushrooms. All over the top delicious. After lots of wine and tons of fun we finished with apple pie ala mode. I know it sounds passé, let me tell you it was anything but. We were treated like long lost friends by everybody. Our waitstaff was very attentive and kept our wine glasses filled. We were visited tableside by the owner chef, who was friendly and welcoming. We'll go back before we leave for the summer.

Peasant is a neighborhood gem, and secretly also destination worthy in the sense that it's familiar food that is thoughtfully prepared and not egregiously priced. The place consistently delivers and has stood the test of time. It doesn't blow you away but instead is like a welcoming hug from an old friend that you wonder why don't we talk more often? Though those that run hot beware that it's a wood fired driven establishment so you should wear light clothing no matter the season.

Beautiful restaurant, with great vibes. When you walk in the restaurant is lit by hundreds of candles. Service was great, very attentive staff. Food was generally pretty good, though I had to order the suckling pig and though tasty and loved the little rib on top. Some parts of the dish were served room temperature vs hot which is a pet peeve of mine. The short-rib pasta was very very good and highly recommend! Octopus was good, though relatively small. The charred sugar snap peas were good, especially pared with the labneh.

Came here for the rigatoni alla vodka with basil bread crumbs... it was amazing! Also really liked the fresh bread with ricotta and prosciutto. Didn't care for the hazelnut dessert. Loved all of the candles that lit up the restaurant.

A cozy spot for Italian eats tucked into the Nolita area -- the interior is so rustic and charming, really loved the brick, wooden tables and candlelight details. It's a great spot for a date night or dinner with friends! The waiters here were really nice and good at making recommendations. We got apps to share and they have different sizes for entrees if you're sharing versus not, which was great. I highly recommend everything we got, including the Snap Peas and Burrata appetizers and Vodka Rigatoni! I'd come back to try some of the fish entrees and more of the pastas.

Didn't have any reservations but was able to snag a seat at the bar and bartenders were sooo nice and friendly! We got the rigatoni and agnolotti which were both delicious but the agnolotti was definitely our favorite. Really cool vibes in there will definitely be back!
